Recently, in the media I have noticed more and more messages that indicate a noticeable increase in the level of corruption in Ukraine. Experts and investigative journalists are beginning to talk about this more often. And this is not surprising, because corruption at the state level is covered by Zelensky, his entourage, as well as the government, in particular by the head of the President’s Office Yermak.
Experts report that the number of schemes has been growing since the appointment of the new prime minister and head of the President’s Office, and they are becoming increasingly difficult to follow. One of the largest money laundering was the mass construction of roads, which, according to experts, has enriched many officials involved. There are also many corruption schemes in the energy sector, law enforcement, defense systems.
One of the biggest corruption scandals of 2020 was exposing the corruption scheme of Denis Yermak, the brother of the head of the President’s Office. He negotiated the employment of people in government for money. And the most recent scandal was the covering by Prosecutor General Venediktova of a corrupt official from the “Servant of the People” Oleksandr Yurchenko. The other day he was exposed for bribery.
Zelensky’s government supports the interests of the oligarchs, robs the state and spits on one of the ideas that Ukrainians fought for during the Revolution of Dignity — Ukraine without corruption. During Yanukovych’s presidency, corruption was one of the biggest problems in the country. The repetition of that scenario of pervasive corruption after the struggle and civil losses is shameful and unacceptable!
