As of May 27, 11 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Berdyansk:
6 – in the active phase
4 – recovered
1 – lethal
It would seem that 11 patients are not so many and Berdyansk residents were able to resist the pandemic.
However, the truth lies in the fact that in Berdyansk too few tests are conducted to identify new patients.
Since the beginning of the epidemic in Ukraine, only 145 PCR tests and 201 express tests were carried out in our city.
This is not enough for 110 455 people! 346 tests done barely cover 0.34% of the citizens!
We cannot know the real situation with COVID-19 in the city. Because there are no tests, so there are no patients.
The National Corps of Berdyansk urges you to take care of your health and follow the rules of hygiene: wash your hands more often, do not touch your face with dirty hands and use disinfectants.
