The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Khomchak stated that he did not see a military solution to the problem of Russian occupation of Donbas. Instead, the head of the Central Staff of the National Corps Maxym Zhorin stressed that the military profession requires always being ready for war.
“Covering one’s weakness and incompetence by talking about peace is not an option for the commander of the Armed Forces. This position obliges the search for a military solution to the armed invasion and aggression,” Zhorin said.
He also cited the example of Azerbaijani army which successful return its territories during a military operation. If Khomchak and the General Staff do not believe in the violent version of the deoccupation of Donbas, the head of the Central Staff advises them to adopt the experience of the Azerbaijani military or the Azov Regiment, whose command, according to Zhorin, will gladly share its successful experience in liberating entire cities in the east.
“I would very much like to see that the Commander-in-Chief and the General Staff know and understand their responsibilities and will finally start defending our country,” Maxym Zhorin said.
