The official website of the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine published information that UPG gas station in Zhytomyr has got the permission (№ ІV 163201271348) to work.
In winter, the National Corps of Zhytomyr repeatedly appealed directly to the mayor and the city council to fulfill their duties to the people of Zhytomyr.
On February 24, we also adressed to the the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate, which promised to re-inspect the facility to identify signs of unauthorized construction with community members. Unfortunately, the Inspectorate was bribed.
The UPG gas station got the permision despite the fact that on April 16, 2020, the Inspectorate refused to receive this document from UPG due to the lack of a number of approval documents. But this time, during the quarantine, they changed its point of view.
Public authorities ignore violations of the law. During the quarantine, court hearings are postponed, no measures are taken to control construction and supervise urban planning entities. However, the Inspectorate gives the UPG gas station permisson to work.
Therefore, the National Corps with the city community came to the prosecutor’s office, which was repeatedly asked to represent the state in court on the side of the city community. The prosecutor was provided with all documents that prove the illegal actions of the UPG gas station and the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate. The prosecutor promised to take all measures to resolve the case.
