A rally was held at the Shevchenko monument, at which the leader of the National Corps and the first commander of Azov, Andriy Biletskiy, noted that October 14 should be “not just a date on the calendar, but a living reminder of the principle of the defender.”
“The new government is giving up Ukraine, its defenders, forbidding soldiers to shoot. People who in 2014 tried to destroy our independence are taking over our the streets. We must protect the country,” he stressed, adding that everyone can be a defender, making their own contribution to the common cause of protecting Ukraine.
