On November 16, the Kyiv Court of Appeal overturned the arrest in absentia of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in the case of the violent dispersal of Maidan in February 2014.
Those who still do not believe in Russian revenge may now understand the threats. The abolition of Yanukovych’s arrest in absentia, especially on the eve of the anniversary of the events on the Maidan, may be the cause of another revolution.
Systematic actions or, more precisely, inaction of the current government are aimed at destabilizing socio-political life in Ukraine. Such provocations in wartime can lead to very serious consequences.
The National Corps condemns the decision of the Kyiv Court of Appeal. The abolition of Yanukovych’s arrest in absentia is a spit in the face of Ukrainians.
Earlier, on May 12, 2020, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv arrested former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in absentia without the right to post bail in the case of the shootings on the Maidan on February 18-20, 2014.
