His name was Serhiy Burlaka. He was native of Chernivtsi region, but grew up and lived in Vasilivka, Zaporizhya region. He was an entrepreneur and manufactured mirrors. Serhiy was a sportsman and a football fan, and after his death, Serhiy’s friends annually hold football tournaments to honor his memory. His six years old daughter Anfisa is raised up without a father.
In 2014 he was serving in territorial battalion, and a year later he joined the second “Iron” company of the Azov regiment. He couldn’t stay still. He didn’t have the experience in military service, but managed to became a professional. A man and a warrior worthy of respect.
On the night of March 25, 2016, the recon group, where Serhiy served, was carrying out patrols near Pavlopol. They ran into the mine. Two soldiers were injured, and Serhiy, who was the first, took the hit from the explosion and died immediately.
