On the Day of the Defender and the 78th anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, the National Corps, together with other patriotic forces and veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, held a large-scale march in Kyiv.
The right-wing forces gathered in Shevchenko Park, where the rally took place.
The leader of the National Corps and the first commander of Azov, Andriy Biletsky, noted that everyone can become a defender of Ukraine by making their contribution to the common cause.
“The current government isgiving up on Ukraine and its defenders, forbidding soldiers to shoot. Pro-Russian armed activists, using the huge financial resource of Russia, are taking over our streets. We must defend the country, we have a lot of work on the front lines and on our streets,” the National Corps leader said during his speech.
After honoring memory of the defenders of Ukraine in the center of Kyiv, the participants went to the final point of the march, the President’s Office, where they expressed their demands to Zelensky.
The head of the Central Staff of the National Corps Maksym Zhorin noted that while the war is going on in Ukraine, and collaborators are sitting in the government offices, that’s why “we cannot afford to fully celebrate this day”, therefore one of the requirements is the adoption of the law “On the protection of Ukrainian debris from collaboration “.
Another important requirement for the authorities is the dismissal of the current Prosecutor General Venediktova, who “is working to fabricate cases and throw Ukrainian patriots behind bars.”
“Now 15 Kharkiv patriots are behind bars for not being able to calmly observe how Medvedchuk and Kiva are recruiting Berkut members and other thugs throughout Ukraine. Therefore, we demand an end to the persecution of all patriots,” he said.
The participants of the march also demanded to ban the activities of all pro-Kremlin parties, and to deprive all pro-Russian TV channels of licenses.
