Today Russia began large-scale military exercises “Kavkaz-2020” exercises near the Ukrainian border and in the occupied Crimea. More than a hundred thousand soldiers, about three thousand units of armored vehicles, hundreds of planes and helicopters were involved in the maneuvers of the aggressor state. They are working on an offensive operation against Ukraine. While the power of clowns continues to talk about a compromise with the aggressor, the Kremlin is demonstratively brandishing weapons at our borders.
For several months now, experts have been saying that the “Kavkaz-2020” exercises could become a cover for a full-scale Russian invasion of our state. The ex-commander of the US troops in Europe, General Ben Godges, speaks directly about the high probability of an attack by Russians under the guise of military exercises to break through the land corridor to the Crimea and cut off Ukraine from the Sea of Azov.
Let me remind you that a similar precedent has already taken place in recent history. Russia’s aggression against Georgia began 12 years ago after the “Kavkaz-2020” exercises. Then the military maneuvers became in fact a dress rehearsal for the Russian intervention.
Therefore, our state is in danger of a full-scale enemy attack. Of course, this is not a cause for panic. However, the question arises: is the current government able to respond quickly to Russian aggression?
