
Today the National Corps of Lviv Region honored the soldiers of the Halychyna Division.
76 years ago, divisional officers broke through the encirclement of the Red Army near Brody. Unlike the demoralized Germans, the Ukrainian volunteers did not think to surrender. They heroically repulsed the tank strikes of the overwhelming Bolshevik forces. Eventually, the divisional officers began to break through the enemy’s ring.
The National Corps of the Lviv Region visited the places of military glory of the army of the Halychyna Division to pay tribute to their feat, their contribution to the struggle for Independent Ukraine. The nationalists joined the memorial service for the fallen divisional officers in the village of Chervone. The reburial of the found remains of the division’s soldiers also took place at this place.
In the village of Pidhirtsi, activists laid flowers at the mass grave of soldiers of the Halychyna division.
