Two weeks have passed since we appealed to the ex-Minister of Health, Ilya Yemets, regarding the shut the university clinic initiated by Zaporozhan.
However, there is still no answer. And the clinic itself, despite the statements, is still closed. We have already appealed to the new Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov.
On March 23 the hospital chief of staff Tatyana Muratova stated that “rumors about the shut of the clinic are not true.” Moreover, in the case of the spread of coronavirus, “all actions are thought over.”
According to our information, except artificial ventilation systems in the clinic, there are no necessary protective equipment: masks, respirators, disposable gowns, gloves, goggles or shields and disinfectants.
Over the past three weeks only 440 protective suits and 440 shoe covers were purchased. This purchase is not only an insult or an imitation of “readiness / preparation”. This is a common, arrogant and cynical act of looting during the plague. So, according to the tender, the price of one disposable gown is 385 UAH. Although after two minutes of searching on the Internet you will find completely different price.
These actions fall under Article 191 of the Criminal Code (misappropriation, embezzlement of property or seizing it by abuse of official position), so we will inform the law enforcement agency about this case.
