The garbage problem of Lviv has long been known not only to locals, but also to all Ukrainians. This issue became especially acute in 2016 after a fire at a city dump and the death of two firefighters. Then the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy promised that in the near future the garbage problem would be solved and a plant for recycling waste would be built.
However, more than 4 years have passed since then. The construction of the waste recycling plant should have begun several times already, and each time Lviv citizens are assured: everything is ready, but the work has not begun.
Despite all the efforts of Sadovy and the team to hide inaction, this will not be possible. Lviv citizens are acutely concerned about the garbage problem, and every news about illegal Lviv waste in other regions of Ukraine causes a huge wave of negativity in social networks. And no excuses and a delay in solving the problem will save Andriy Sadovy.
