On November 3, at 10:00, the National Corps will be picketing Constitutional Court (14 Zhylyanska Street) to defend the Ukrainian language.
In Ukraine, the law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language” has been in force for more than a year, according to which the Ukrainian language is mandatory for public authorities and public spheres.
However, adherents of the “Russian measure” still refuse to accept the fact that our only state language is Ukrainian. Therefore, tomorrow, November 3, the Constitutional Court will consider the case at the request of 51 deputies, including Novinsky, Kivalov, Shufrych, Muraev, Korolevska, Dobkin, who consider the language law unconstitutional and violates the rights of individual citizens.
Note that the law on language does not apply to the sphere of private communication and the performance of religious rites. Therefore, we believe that such statements of pro-Russian deputies is the sign audacity and contempt for the Ukrainian language, which is the basis for legal action. Speculating on the language issue, pro-Russian deputies are trying to destabilize and shake up the situation in the country. Language discourse is one of the tools of the hybrid war waged by the Kremlin against Ukraine.
We will remind that on July 16 the National Corps already picketed the Verkhovna Rada on the language issue. Then the odious pro-Russian deputy Buzhansky tried to postpone the implementation of the language law in Ukrainian schools.
On November 3, at 10:00, the Constitutional Court puts our national identity on the agenda. We call on all patriotic movements and organizations to join the rally (14 Zhylyanska Street).
