The National Corps party sent a letter to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy demanding to explain on what grounds they initiated a popular poll on election day on October 25. The relevant information appeared today on the website of the President of Ukraine and caused a storm of indignation among the Ukrainians.

Zelenskiy’s initiative is illegal, because the electoral code does not provide for any polls on election day. We are convinced that this is a huge risk and threat to influence people’s opinion. The “popular poll” looks like an imitation of a referendum, during which they will try to legitimize dangerous decisions for the whole country.
That is why, guided by Art. 19 Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information” we ask Volodymyr Zelenskyy to provide information on the basis of which regulatory legal acts the survey will be conducted, the calculation of its results and their further promulgation and use; announce the amount that is planned to be spent on this survey and at the expense of what funds will be covered; provide a list of questions that are planned to be submitted for the survey.
All Ukrainians are waiting for the answers. Another political technology of “Servant of the People” party may cost too much for Ukraine.
