The leader of the National Corps Andriy Biletsky addressed Belarusians who are now fighting for their right to democracy and a fair choice of president.
“You came to the aid in 2014. First during the Maidan, then during the war on the East. The first person to die during the Revolution of Dignity was Mykhailo Zhyznevsky, a Belarusian from Homel, a nationalist and hero of Ukraine posthumously. Dozens of brave men from Belarus went to war with me. Many have already put down roots in Ukraine, as they could not return to their homeland, where soviet tyrant us running the country. Some of our Belarusians returned and were captured by Lukashenko’s secret services, they were imprisoned. That is why we, Ukrainians, are indebted to you,” he wrote.
Biletsky promised support for Belarusians affected by political repression.
“We will be able to provide security, within our capabilities such as shelter and legal assistance to Belarusian patriots who are in danger in the homeland,” the leader of the National Corps said.
Andriy Biletsky also noted that we are currently witnessing a historic moment – a new Belarus is being born in the current protests, and also expressed support for “a new generation of Belarusians, which is being hardened on the streets of insurgent cities today.”
